Inskeep Photography has been my new adventure. My wife helped me design the site, which has had several touchups and makeovers within the last couple months. I needed a simple site that I could use as a portfolio to showcase some of my photography work. I integrated a JavaScript based flash gallery on the front page as well as using a JavaScript based slideshow program for the photo shoot galleries. This site was my first attempt at setting up a CakePHP site. I was asked by a potential client about developing a site in CakePHP, so I decided to give it a shot and see how this framework functioned, and I would have to say I was impressed! Overall, this is a simple site that puts a face on my business and makes it easy for potential clients to see my work and contact me.

Global Fire Control

The Global Fire Control System’s website development had some real problems when we first started looking at their site. A large portion of the content was images instead of text. They had no way to update their products and the design needed a large overhaul. Most of the visitors to their site come from RedZee, a specialized search engine. The problem was the SEO for the site was not thought out. After getting the architecture on the site changed, we worked on getting the sitemap updated and getting the site out there. The products section was another large task. With the old site, everything was static. I developed a CMS database system using PHP and MySQL to create a quicker way for the customers to modify their current products and keep the site updated. Overall, the project was a huge success.

Advanced Business Systems

Simple, easy to read, and easy to get the contact information. ABS is a local company that wanted a quick design update to their site. Although I feel some things could have been dealt with differently, the overall appearance of the site was simplified and the client was happy with the final product.

Power Us

The "Power Us" site was another one of my early projects that I choose to create. The site would mostly be used by older people with older computers so it needed to be an easy-to-read site. They also didn't want to have many pictures because most of the people that would viewing the site only have 56k. All around, this is a really simple site that I thought flowed very well and got the message across very effectively. The hardest part of this site was a spiritual gifts test. This test consists of a 50 question quiz. A person answers questions and it tells them what spiritual gifts they possess. This information is then displayed on the screen and emailed to the pastor of the church.
